|2017 Dodge Challenger GT|
Dodge has just unveiled its new 2017 Challenger GT, the world’s first all-wheel-drive American muscle coupe. Just how much muscle are we talking? The new Challenger boasts a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, which cranks out 305 horsepower.
The powerful vehicle also comes equipped with ZF’s eight-speed automatic transmission, connected to the same transfer case and front-axle disconnect used in the current all-wheel-drive Charger.
When driving in regular conditions, the Challenger GT directs all of its 268 pound-per-foot of torque to the rear, but when the environment calls for the car to utilize the front wheels, the system then transfers the power to the front of the automobile.
The 2017 GT also welcomes a Sport mode, shift paddles and launch control, while the Performance Pages feature displays reaction times, zero-to-60 numbers, a g-force indicator and lap times.
The interior further showcases plush nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8.4-inch Uconnect display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 276-watt Alpine stereo with six speakers, metal-trimmed pedals, and a universal garage-door opener.
The exterior is then highlighted by 19-inch aluminum wheels, projector-beam fog lamps and a spoiler positioned at the deck lid.
