This movie contains one of the most famous car chases ever, featuring Bill Hickman on his Dodge Charger 440 and Steve McQueen’s Bullitt. The infamous car chase starts with Hickman as he buckled up his waist-only seat belt then floors it in the streets of San Francisco. There are no lines and background music for this chase scene, the only thing you could hear was the roaring engines of the Mustang and the Charger.

Fact: While they were shooting the film, the production crew put thinner wheels on the Charger because the Dodge Charger was much faster than the Ford Mustang and they need to slow it down for the chase scene.
